I was recently quoted in the Orlando Sentinel Wednesday responding to House activity. “We’ve been talking for four hours and we have not created one job”.

“On behalf of the 12 percent of Floridians who are out of work, let’s vote ‘no’ and go on with the business of finding jobs for this state.”  The House spent more than five hours of questions and debate on memorials and resolutions Wednesday, with just a little over a week left in the legislative session.  House memorials are simply messages to Congress urging it to do something – they carry no weight of law! I argued before the House that the priority needs to be finding jobs for Floridians, not wasting time discussing and debating memorials that have little, if any, impact.
