Recently, Rep. Sachs met with the Israeli Consul, the Honorable Ofer Bavly and his staff, in order to discuss Israel-Florida relations. “It was an honor to meet Consul Bavly. Our meeting was incredibly productive and his office agrees that this trade mission will provide the necessary steps toward mutual benefit and growth for each of our respective economies,” said Rep Sachs after her meeting.
Florida-Israel: Partnership and Potential

- Currently, Israel is Florida’s 58th largest trading partner, with a total of $209 million in trade last year alone.
- By the end of 2010, Israel will have completed the world’s first ever electric car network.
- The technology developed by Solel Solar, a company originating from Israel, now powers nine solar plants in California , as well as a solar energy plant in Nevada.
