Sen. Sachs with U.S. Ambassador to Ireland, Dan Rooney, on the Fourth of July.

Senator Sachs and her husband Peter visited their daughter Natasha in Dublin, Ireland. While there, they spent the Fourth of July holiday with American families at the residence of the Ambassador, Dan Rooney. This led to discussions about mutual trade with Deputy Chief of Mission, John Hennessey-Niland. Senator Sachs spoke of strengthening the economic partnership between Florida and Ireland, specifically in the areas of Information-Technology and innovation. “Both Florida and Ireland are hubs of international trade on opposite ends of the same ocean,” said Senator Sachs. “It is necessary that we embrace our strengths and move forward together in this global innovation economy.”
